Wichita Grand Opera presents The Merry Widow

Century II Concert Hall 225 W. Douglas Ave Wichita, KS 67202

A young diplomat must bail out his bankrupt country by marrying a wealthy heiress in The Merry Widow, a lighthearted caper which became an overnight sensation after its 1907 London debut, running for 778 consecutive performances. Kallen Esperian, who is at home on all the major opera stages of the world having sung opposite each of the “three tenors,” Pavarotti, Domingo, and Carreras, returns to the WGO in the title role. She won the hearts of Wichita audiences co-starring in La Boheme with Marcello Giordani and in Faust with Samuel Ramey.
