Two hometown favorites are hoping to make this week’s First Friday concert one to remember for visitors to Bridgepoint Plaza.

Local rockers KneckDown will bring their popular Southern rock sound and easy country tunes to the stage. The band features Jay Shell, Chris Austin, Dave Harper, Shannon Wilson and Derrick Ingram. They’ve toured the region, sharing the stage with such acts as Jamey Johnson, Luke Bryan, Corey Smith, Georgia Satellites, Sammy Kershaw and Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Opening for KneckDown will be local singer/songwriter Tanna Key, who released her debut full-length country album, “Wasting Paper,” earlier this year.

The concert runs from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Bridepoint Plaza. Admission is free.

In case of rain, the concert will be moved to the Rome City Auditorium, 601 Broad St.
